Generating API Keys and Setting Up an Account on WEEX

👉 First, you need to activate the ability to create API keys using the exchange manager. Only after your application has been approved will you be able to connect your account to trading.

Updated this week

1. Use the link below to create API keys: https://www.weex.com/account/newapi

2. On the right side, click the button “Create new API”:

3. In the pop-up window, create and enter any API name (“Notes”) and set a password (“Passphrase”).

⚠️ Important! Make sure to remember or write down the Passphrase. You will need it later to connect your account.

If you forgot to save the Passphrase, simply create new API keys following this same instruction.

4. Below, check the boxes for:

  • Futures

  • Account details

  • Market making

Then paste the following IPs (copy exactly as shown — with commas and without spaces): 34.77.149.145,34.78.125.125,35.195.215.50

5. The keys (‘Key’ and ‘Secret’) must be copied to a secure location or immediately entered into the form on the ‘API Keys’ page.

Please avoid taking photos or screenshots of the keys and using your smartphone to extract the text, as this method will introduce errors.

6. Select “WEEX,” enter any account name, paste the “API Key” , “API Secret” , "API passphrase" and click “Connect”.

What should I check if an error occurs when adding API keys?
