Generating API Keys and Setting Up an Account on HyperLiquid

1. In the “More” menu, select “API”:

2. On the left side, enter any name for the API keys:

3. On the right side, generate the code by clicking “Generate”, then press “Authorize API Wallet”:

4. In the window that appears, copy and save the “Private Key” (as text, not as a screenshot):

5. Click “MAX”, then press “Authorize”. Please note that the keys will remain active for 180 days, after which it is recommended to generate new API keys in advance.

6. Copy the wallet address from the top menu:

7. The keys (‘API Wallet address’ and ‘Private Key’) must be copied to a secure location or immediately entered into the form on the ‘API Keys’ page.

Please avoid taking photos or screenshots of the keys and using your smartphone to extract the text, as this method will introduce errors.

​What should I check if an error occurs when adding API keys?

4. Next, while switching between the necessary instruments, ensure that Cross Margin is selected.
