How can I set a custom stop-loss?

Updated this week

BlackBox allows users to define a custom stop-loss, which replaces the stop-loss specified in the signal.

The stop-loss is defined as a percentage from the signal entry price.

Once enabled, your stop-loss settings override the signal parameters and remain active until you disable them.

Example:

Signal entry price:

BTC — 70,000
Long

If the user sets a 3% stop-loss, the stop level will be approximately:

67,900

❗ It is important to consider leverage.

When leverage is used, the effective risk increases.

Example:

  • leverage: 10×

  • stop-loss: 3%

The effective loss may reach approximately 30% of the margin used.

Before modifying the stop-loss, users should consider:

  • leverage in the signal

  • position size

  • acceptable risk per trade.
