Generating API Keys and Setting Up an Account on Gate

1. In the menu under the profile icon, select “API Management”:

2. Click the “Create API Key” button:

3. Select “Trading Account”:

4. Enter any name for the “API Key Remark” and enter the following IP addresses exactly as shown (with commas and no spaces): 34.77.149.145,34.78.125.125,35.195.215.50

5. Check the relevant boxes:

6. The keys (‘Key’ and ‘Secret’) must be copied to a secure location or immediately entered into the form on the ‘API Keys’ page.

Please avoid taking photos or screenshots of the keys and using your smartphone to extract the text, as this method will introduce errors.

Select “Gate.io,” enter any account name, paste the “API Key”, “API Secret" and click “Connect”:

What should I check if an error occurs when adding API keys?

1. In the menu, under the “Futures” tab, select “Futures”:

2. Click on the account settings icon:

3. In the settings, select “One-way Mode” and close the settings:

4. In the margin settings area, switch to “Cross” margin mode:

5. Configure the trading account settings (steps 3-4) for all trading pairs you plan to use.
