Generating API Keys and Setting Up an Account on Bitget

API Key Generating

1. In the menu under the profile icon, select “API Keys”:

2. If a sub-account will be used for trading, select it from this dropdown menu:

3. Click the “Create API Key” button:

4. Select “System-generated API key”:

5. In the popup window, enter a name for the key “Note” and set a password “Passphrase (API token)”.

Important: Remember or write down the “Passphrase (API token)” as it will be needed later to access the account.

6. Check the relevant boxes:

If you are setting up a copy-trading account on Bitget to connect investors, ensure you check the “Trade” box (this can also be set after creating the API keys).

7. Enter the following IP addresses exactly as shown (with commas and no spaces): 34.77.149.145,34.78.125.125,35.195.215.50

Click the “Next” button:

8. The keys (‘Access APIKey’ and ‘SecretKey’) must be copied to a secure location or immediately entered into the form on the ‘API Keys’ page.

Please avoid taking photos or screenshots of the keys and using your smartphone to extract the text, as this method will introduce errors.

Select “Bitget,” enter any account name, paste the “API Key”, “API Secret,” "API passphrase" and click “Connect”:

Account setup

1. In the menu, under the “Futures” tab, select “USDT-M Futures”:

2. Click on the account settings icon:

3. In the settings, select “One-way Mode” and close the settings:

4. In the margin settings area, switch to “Cross” margin mode:

5. Configure the trading account settings (steps 3-4) for all trading pairs you plan to use.

All set ✅ Don’t forget to fund your Futures Account before starting the copy trading.
