Generating API Keys and Setting Up an Account on OKX

1. In the menu under the profile icon, select "API":

2. Click on “Create APIs”:

3. Create any API name:

4. Specify the following IP addresses (please copy as is - with commas and no spaces): 34.77.149.145,34.78.125.125,35.195.215.50

5. Select "Trade" from the "Permissions" drop-down list:

6. Create a passphrase and store it safely for future use. Ensure that both the passphrase and API keys are sent to the dedicated Telegram chat for setting up the account.

7. In the block on the left, click "Submit all”:

8. Click on “Show info”:

9. The keys (‘API’ and ‘Secret Key’) must be copied to a secure location or immediately entered into the form on the ‘API Keys’ page.

Please avoid taking photos or screenshots of the keys and using your smartphone to extract the text, as this method will introduce errors.

Select “OKX,” enter any account name, paste the “API Key”, “API Secret,” "API passphrase" and click “Connect”:

What should I check if an error occurs when adding API keys?

1. Select "Futures" from the "Trade" menu dropdown:

2. When visiting the futures section for the first time, OKX will ask a question about trading experience. Please ensure to select "Spot and derivatives" and click "Done":

The exchange will also ask you to pick the margin currency mode. Depending on the interface there may be a similar window:

3. Navigate to the account settings:

4. Ensure that "One-way mode" is selected:

5. Ensure that “Cross” (cross margin) is selected:

6. Configure the trading account settings (steps 4-5) for all trading pairs you plan to use. To do this, switch between trading pairs as shown in the screenshot:
